CAHF memorial program: veterinarians

If you are a veterinarian, you can pay tribute to your patients or clients by making a donation to the Companion Animal Health Fund through its companion animal memorial program.
Dr. Jim Randall, a veterinarian in Regina, Sask., suggested the memorial donation concept when he joined CAHF's advisory board in 1982 (see story about the creation of the memorial program). After more than two decades of donating to the CAHF on behalf of his patients and friends, Randall draws some personal comfort from the practice. "Perhaps it helps me cope with the fact that pets and people die. I'm not sure. But I know it helps me give meaning to their lives, and at the same time, I'm supporting research that benefits all companion animals."
Every time you make a memorial donation of $10 or more to the Fund in honour of a deceased patient or client, WCVM development staff will send your client or your client's family a letter acknowledging your contribution to the Fund. The College also includes some background information about the CAHF and about its research and training activities.
Please download a copy of the CAHF companion animal memorial program's individual donation form. Or, you're welcome to download the multiple donor form so you can submit numerous donations from your veterinary clinic on a regular basis.
