Blackboard has announced that the "Scholar" social bookmarking system will be shut down on January 13, 2012. Instructors currently using Scholar are encouraged to use other services such as http://www.delicious.com/ for social bookmarking.

ITS will be removing the "Scholar" tab from the top menus on December 23 after all the September term courses and exams are finished. On January 13, ITS will also remove all the Scholar tools from courses including the links to "Scholar Stream", "Scholar Bookmarks" and the "My Scholar Home" tools because these will no longer function once the Scholar system is shut down.

Instructors currently using Scholar are encouraged to contact the ITS help desk (help.desk@usask.ca) for assistance in moving from Scholar to another system.
