Happy New Year. Let's get the year off to a good start. Here is a link to an interesting, peer reviewed, faculty development website called, Merlot. They have an associated, peer reviewed online journal called, JOLT (Journal of Online Learning and Teaching).
Concept mapping is a teaching method which assists in the learning of complex concepts by depicting them graphically. This method was first developed by Joseph Novak at Cornell University. It is well described on the internet. Many articles are available describing its method. The Journal, "The Science Teacher" is available electronically through the U of S Library and has a number of articles on concept mapping. There is also an excellent primer on concept mapping through Wikipedia.
