Ski/Snowboard Trip - SIGN UP NOW- DEADLINE DECEMBER 1ST!

Hello everyone,
I know that we are all very busy with interning, student teaching, and upcoming final exams, but what better way to relax than to think about the upcoming Febuary break?
The deadline to sign up for the 2010 Ski/Snowboard trip to Panorama is fast apporaching, the deadline to sign up is December 1st. This is so that I can book rental equipment and get room lists ready.
As it stands, there are not nearly enough people signed up to make the trip a go, so if you are interested in coming, you need to sign up now!
If you are interning out of the city or you are away and cant sign up, please email me and I will make other arrangements.
Once again, the deadline is December 1st, if we dont have enough people signed up by then, the trip will be cancelled.
email questions, comments, or to sign up- kmm199@mail.usask.ca
Thanks, hope to see you all on the slopes!

WESTcast Search for presenters

Every year the Western Canadian Association of Student Teachers (WestCAST) hold a conference for people who are still training to become a teacher. This year it is in the city of Lethbridge. One of the main oportunities of this event is to go and explore differing methods of instruction and learning that are used around the country.
If you have one of these innovative ideas, then share it with the world. The date for proposals to be handed in is NOVEMBER 16, 2009. If you would like to present an idea then go to the website below and create a short proposal explaining your intentions. If you would like to go as a guest, I will be posting information on how to do that later.

Synopsis from WestCAST 2010 committee:
We welcome you to the vibrant city of Lethbridge and WestCAST 2010, February 17, 18, 19, & 20!

The University of Lethbridge is pleased to host WestCAST (Western Canadian Association for Student Teaching). This unique conference, held annually in one of the four western provinces, attracts a diverse audience of teacher educators, university instructors and administrators and student teachers.

This year's theme is: Bridging Hearts and Minds Through Inspired Teaching. We strive to inspire our teaching, which in turn will inspire learning in the hearts and minds of students. We all know that excellent teachers make a difference. Teachers nurture the talents and abilities of students, and encourage them to achieve their potential -- by way of the heart, by way of the mind. WestCAST 2010 offers opportunity to network, share research findings and results, practical aspects of teaching, and learning in a theoretical and practical sense. WestCAST 2010 offers a celebration of Bridging Hearts and Minds Through Inspired Teaching.
