Education Students' Society Executive Elections

Are you interested in getting to know new people and being a leader in the College? If so, you should run for the Education Students' Society Executive for the 2010-2011 school year. Nomination forms can be found in the ESS office (Room 1009). Forms are due by Saturday February 27 no later than 4:30pm. A week of campaigning will occur February 28-March 6 and voting will occur March 8-9.

Positions available are:
President
Vice-President Internal
Vice-President Administration
Vice-President Academic
Vice-President Social
Members of Student Council (2)
Senior STF Rep
Post-Intern Representatives (3)

The College of Kinesiology is Challenging every other College to Enter a Team into this Dodgeball Tournament to see if they can defeat the Jocks!

Entry Fee- $60/Team

Team- Consists of a max 10 people on the roster, but only 8 can play at a time. There must be a min of 3 players of each gender. Teams are encouraged to have themes and costumes! Participants must have a valid U of S student card to take part - for insurance reasons.

Games- Each team is guaranteed at least 2 games in a Double Knockout

Sign Up- Teams can sign up and pay in the PAC office - Room 222 (same as you would for Campus Rec)

Food- There will also be a BBQ during the tournament so bring some $$$

There will also be PRIZES

Another Professional Development workshop has been added for this Friday at 9am. It details what should be included in a Professional Portfolio. The room and the end time are TBA. For more information check in the ESS office or email Jessica at jey774.

Grad is fast approaching so there are a few things to keep in mind.

Grad banquet tickets are on sale now through Thursday February 11th from 10am-3pm. Tickets are $35 each and payable by cash or cheque made out to the Education Students' Society. Grad will be held friday march 12 at TCU place at 6pm.

We will have a seating plan day later in February after the midterm break for those who want to choose who they sit with. Those who do not come and sign up for a spot will still have reserved seating with their party the night of.

Nominations for master of ceremonies, valedictorian, toast to supporters, toast to faculty, toast to graduates, grade, student service award, community service award are being accepted until thursday feb 4th. Voting will take place at the grad ticket sales counter from Feb 8-11.
