Plea for New Treaty Commissioner

Doug Cuthand has an article in the The StarPhoenix on March 2nd entitled, “Name new treaty commissioner without delay”. The Honourable Judge David M. Arnot was Treaty Commissioner since January 1, 1997 until recently.

The first Treaty Commissioner was Cliff Wright and he produced the book, Report and Recommendations on Treaty Land Entitlement presented to Chief Roland Crowe in May 1990. Doug Cuthand states that Cliff Wright brought about the Treaty Land Entitlement Agreement in 1992.
