Graham Andrews of the StarPhoenix reports that numbers are increasing for the number of children being taken away, and the reasons the the increase are "mental health problems, addictions and Saskatchewan's booming economy".

RCMP Apologizes For Pepper Spray Incident

CBC reports that the RCMP have issued a formal apology, but the element of incompetence still remains.

"Let's remember this is a community where there's family involved," Chad told CBC News. "This is not a situation with a mentality of a riot, so it's still an inappropriate use of force".

CBC reports that the Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs is outraged by RCMP use of pepper spray on Sechelt band members and especially spraying babies.

RCMP Use Pepper Spray at a Community Celebration in Sechelt BC

CBC reports that the RCMP forcibly stoped a pickup truck with 10 young people in the back, and the officers used pepper spray when arresting the driver, and sprayed 15 others including two children under two years old!
