A Film Exploring Canadian Residential Schools
The Harmony Song Project of Tamara's House presents a film titled, "Muffins for Granny," playing at the Roxy Theatre on Friday, January 29th at 7:00p.m.
The documentary made by First Nations film-maker, Nadia McLaren, features seven elders who discuss their personal experiences, and the traumatic effects of Canada's Residential Schools. A panel of Saskatoon community members - Janice Acoose, Doreen Pooyak, and Gordon Tootoosis - will speak following the film, and will facilitate discussion with the audience.
