Saskatchewan First Nation Water Treatment Facility Destroyed By Fire

The Yellow Quill First Nation is now scrambling to find alternate sources of safe drinking water for the community of 1,000 people, which is located 250 kilometres east of Saskatoon. The fire destroyed their water treatment plant, which was completed in 2004 after more than an 8 year boil water advisory. A preliminary report from a fire investigator indicates the cause was electrical.
