Government of Canada - Mohawk Council Sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Honourable John Duncan, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development, and Michael Ahrihron Delisle, Jr., Grand Chief of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawake, announced today the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Kahnawake–Canada Relationship. The MOU establishes better frameworks for land management issues and membership questions in the First Nation.
