Aanischaaukamikw Cree Cultural Institute Opens

Last week, the official opening of the Aanischaaukamikw Cree Cultural Institute, a project that the Government of Canada contributed over $4.6 million in financial assistance. The facility is a museum dedicated to the promotion of the culture and history of the Cree Nation. Located in Oujé-Bougoumou, Quebec the complex comprises exhibition halls, a resource and documentation centre, and spaces for housing museological and archaeolgical assets.
