I am very disappointed at the choice. I can only speculate where and how this commission was given. Belcourt does not have absolutely any concept of the pain and the struggles that we as First Nation victims have gone through and are still going through to this day.

I for one am a victim in every sense that word. Currently I am facing one of my abusers in court.

I am also a visual artist, musician and dancer, both contemporary and traditional. This commission should have been given out by First Nation artists through a selection process and not by what I call a "greasy commission"
