University of Saskatchewan Diabetes Research

Research released yesterday by two University of Saskatchewan researchers reveals that First Nation girls have higher rates of diabetes compared to other children. The study, published in the Canadian Journal of Diabetes by Dr. Roland Dyck and Nathaniel Osgood from the Indigenous People's Heath Research Centre (IPHRC), covered 25 years, longer than any other childhood diabetes study done in Canada.
