International Day of the World Indigenous Peoples

On August 9 the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples theme for 2012 is: "Indigenous Media, Empowering Indigenous Voices". A special event at United Nations Headquarters in New York on August 9 will feature content from indigenous media organizations.
