Female Aboriginal Inmate Numbers Increasing

A new study prepared for Public Safety Canada shows increasing numbers of Aboriginal women in Canada being incarcerated. Aboriginal women make up nearly 33% of the total federal inmate population even though aboriginal people make up only about 4% of the Canadian population.
