The University Library is aware of an issue with access to our Library's licensed resources when accessed through the Saskatoon Health Region (SHR) network. In mid-May the Saskatoon Health Region Networks department changed their network configuration for security reasons, with the end result that access to the University Library's licensed resources (databases, e-books, e-journals etc.) is no longer allowed when searching within the SHR network. This is a known issue and University of Saskatchewan Networks has been in contact with SHR Networks to resolve the issue but a resolution has not been forthcoming.
We encourage you to notify the SHR ITS Service Desk via email service.desk@saskatoonhealthregion.ca or by phone 655-8200 or rural 1-866-431-1780 (Mondays - Fridays 07:00-17:00) with your concerns and problems as we are not able to solve the issue here at the U of S Library. In the interim, you can access and search the University Library's resources when not on the SHR network, for example, at your home, or here on campus. Additionally, you are able to search for health information from the SHR Medical Libraries websites: (Intranet): http://infonet.sktnhr.ca/medicallibrary/Pages/Home.aspx and (Internet): http://library.saskatoonhealthregion.ca/ .
Again, if you encounter problems searching the University Library licensed resources from within the Saskatoon Health Region, we encourage you to contact SHR ITS Service Desk for further information and clarification.
