Thank you very much for the inspiration. I have come to a point in my life where I've begun to wonder why I even started this program in the first place, especially after the death of my mom, two sisters and the suicide of my husband's nephew which all happend while I was in this program. However, listening to your program reminded me why I chose this career path in the first place. My Mom inspirated me by involving us in the community, for example, when people passed away, my mother would take us to the wake and we would help out with preparing and serving food, cleaning etc, to help out our families in their time of need. This impacted me as to the significance of community, and alerted me to the fact that I wanted to make a difference in my comuunity. Thank you for this significant opportunity, I feel renewed, invigorated, and refreshed! Today, I know it is important that I stay in this program because I know that, through this, I can make a difference. I am going to keep pushing. It is all I can do. Once again, thank you. I am here for the long haul and I will prevail.

Thank you Freda for your comment. I am sure that you are already making a difference within your community in ways that you might not even be aware are happening. Thank you for taking the time to respond to the blog. I hope that as you push ahead you take time to reflect on all that you are learning and what it means to be a nurse in your community.
