U of S Programming Contest

The Department of Computer Science would like to thank all participants and sponsors for making fall 2009 programming competition a success. 12 teams in 3 categories hunkered down to make our local programming contest one of the best ever. For the first time, there were three one-student teams who dominated the competition and won prizes in Novice and Advanced categories.

The standings have been posted in the contest page. Contest problems should be added "Real Soon Now".

We have a finalized prize list for the contest!

• An iPod Touch from YasTech Industries
• Point2 bunnyhugs and Four Amazon Gift certificates
• ESTI toques, Thermos bottles, and Starbucks Gift certificates
• Solio solar chargers from Potash Corp.

As well, zu is sponsoring the pizza lunch this year.

Remember, you can pre-register your team of up to three programmers early at programmingcontest.usask.ca/registration, or just come out to the contest on Saturday (October 3rd) and register then!
