GRAD STUDENT COMPETES IN POETRY FACE OFF
Holly Luhning, a PhD student in the Dept. of English finished second in the CBC's 5th Annual Poetry Face Off which ran April 3-11.
The CBC Radio One contest allowed listeners to vote for their favorite poet from April 3-11.
Luhning's poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies. She is the author of Sway (Thistledown, 2003) and has a chapbook forthcoming (Fall, 2006) with Saskatoon's JackPine Press. In November 2005 she won the "30 Below (Youth)" award at the the Lieutenant Governor's Arts Awards in Regina.
