Forster, along with her husband Zenon who graduated from the WCVM in 2000, earned first place and the cash award in the 2006 Venture Forward Business Competition started in 2004 by the College of Commerce, Global Infobrokers Inc., and RSVP Event Design. The national entrepreneurship competition drew 28 entrants this year who competed for more than $64,000 in prize money. The Forsters won after presenting their business plans to the competition judges.

The winning plan is for Humboldt Veterinary Services, a mixed animal practice owned and operated by the two veterinarians.
