Fostering Fido or Fluffy
The Western College of Veterinary Medicine is looking for foster families for some of its four-legged patients – dogs and cats who are at the college for radiation therapy.
Companion animals come to the U of S for cancer treatment from across Western Canada and often receive treatment over a number of weeks. It’s a stressful time for owners who must leave their pets behind at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital so the college is looking for temporary homes for these animals.
Foster families are required to give the pet a daily ride to and from the radiation therapy centre, and a lot of TLC. If you can help, call 966-1894 or 966-1257, or e-mail tara.shymko@usask.ca at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.
