Masters of Physical Therapy

There are no first-year students in the School of Physical Therapy this year, but next year, the school will have its first class of students working toward a Masters.

According to the acting director Angela Busch, the entire profession is moving toward elevating the requirement for licensure from a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BScPT) to a MPT. The U of S school, one of 13 physical therapy programs in Canada, will make the move next fall after some intense work on curriculum revision, changes to admission standards and consultations with stakeholders.
