D Wing goes to Tender
The first of two major components of the $251 million Academic Health Sciences project will go to tender in January and, if there are no significant cost overruns, construction could be underway this spring.

The University Board of Governors agreed in December to proceed with D Wing, the biomedical research portion of the project. Its estimated cost is $111.7 million. The structure will wrap around the existing Health Sciences Building, and will be connected by underground tunnel to Arts, Place Riel and the proposed aboriginal student space.
