An awards presentation concluded the event, with prizes given to undergraduate students for their achievements in research, academic performance and involvement in student affairs. The First Prize and People’s Choice Award were awarded to Athanasios Karagiannis for his poster on the synthesis of precursors to polypropionate natural products, while the Second Prize went to Curtis Ball for his studies on ligands for transition metal catalysts. The event was sponsored by the Department of Chemistry, K’Prime Technologies, VWR, and Varian.
