According to a College of Engineering news release, students Lindsay Haeusler, Colin Saraka, Robyn Sherstobitoff, Stephanie Trask and Nicole White researched their project for three months and their work was applied as partial credit for a process engineering and design undergraduate course.

The students performed a complete grass-roots design which included an analysis of existing technologies, equipment requirements and design, computer simulation, capital cost estimation, profitability analysis, and a hazard and safety analysis.
