At a press conference March 16, University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union (USSU) President Josie Steeves and U of S Vice-President of Finance and Resources Richard Florizone donned hard hats and picked up shovels to announce that Place Riel would receive a major face-lift.
“I’m looking forward to a new space for students,” said Steeves. “It’s going to enhance the student experience on campus. It will be a place to socialize, to meet with professors, to offer better public services. And it will be much nicer to look at!”
