Karen Chad named Vice-President Research
Current Acting Vice-President Research Karen Chad has accepted a five-year renewable term as permanent VP effective January 1, 2010.

Dr. Chad began her career at the University of Saskatchewan as a student, receiving bachelor degrees in both education and physical education. She also holds a master’s in physiology from the University of Victoria and a PhD from the University of Queensland. Since 2008, she has been the acting vice-president research.
She has been the recipient of two Teaching Excellence Awards from the U of S Students’ Union, and received a Master Teacher Award at 2005 fall convocation. She was awarded the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal in 2006 and won the YWCA Woman of Distinction award for health and education in 1997.
