Making the grade: Globe and Mail releases university report

The University of Saskatchewan scored B+ in student satisfaction in the 2010 Canadian University Report released by The Globe and Mail Oct. 22.

The annual ranking of 53 Canadian universities is calculated from the responses of some 38,000 undergraduates to a series of questions addressing a range of topics, from quality of education to food service to the environmental commitment of their institution. Additional information, including library holdings and research grant success, was compiled from additional sources.

The U of S was included in a group of 11 universities with enrolments of 12,000-22,000. Included in the group were Guelph, Queen's, Sherbrooke, Wilfrid Laurier, Brock, Carleton, Memorial, Victoria, Simon Fraser and Windsor.

Here is how the U of S fared in 19 categories published in the report. An indicates an improvement in the university's ranking from 2009.
