Students helping Haiti

U of S students are doing their part to help the Haiti relief effort.

Students in the College of Medicine hosted a Hot Dogs for Haiti fundraiser a few days after the quake which raised over $1500 for the Canadian Red Cross.

University of Saskatchewan Huskie athletes raised $1527 for the Haiti Earthquake Fund through Huskies Helping Haiti by collecting money at volleyball, basketball and hockey games Jan. 29 -30. The money will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross.

Donations will be used to support evacuation, search and rescue efforts as well as provide shelter, clean water and medical support. The Canadian Government has pledged to match donations made to Haiti by Canadians.
