WCVM student wins award
Chelsea Himsworth, a student in the Department of Veterinary Pathology, Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) was recently recognized by the Wildlife Disease Association for her poster.

Himsworth received honorable mention in the student poster competition at the 58th annual meeting of the Wildlife Disease Association held in Blaine, Washington in August 2009. The theme of the conference was “Wildlife Health from Land to Sea: Impacts of a Changing World.” The mission of the Wildlife Disease Association is to acquire, disseminate, and apply knowledge of the health and diseases of wild animals in relation to their biology, conservation, and interactions with human and domestic animals. These awards are presented to students who had excellent poster presentations in the student competition category. Himsworth received honorable mention in this category and was awarded a plaque and $75.
