The Cannibalistic Pumpkin

My oldest daughter took a departure from standard pumpkin carving techniques when she told me that the mouth on hers had to be in the shape of an "O", as if the pumpkin were surprised. I was to learn the extent of her plan when I came home from work the next day...

----

I walked in the door and saw the two jack-o-lanterns sitting on the sofa table. One with its toothy grin welcomed me back home. The other, however, made me do a double-take. My oldest daughter had stuffed its mouth with a smaller pumpkin, and had also improved its vision through use of my wife's glasses.

Oh, did I laugh! It was a near-sighted, cannibalistic pumpkin!

Only from the imaginations of children.
