Remember The Orthodontist
I was driving my youngest daughter to music class last week when we drove past the orthodontist's office...

as we drove by, she said, "that's my sister's orthodontist." I agreed with her and we drove on.
This isn't a very notable experience, except in terms of linguistic development. Right now, she has no problem pronouncing the word "orthodontist", yet she can't say the word "remember" properly. She says it like "bemember". Isn't "remember" an easier word to say than "orthodontist"? I find this curious.
I recall that my sister had problems pronouncing the word "spaghetti". She said it like "pasghetti". I think that's a hard word to pronounce, because I've heard a decent amount of children have problems saying spaghetti.
I tried to find a list of "the hardest words to pronounce in the English language", but wasn't successful in my online search. Here's a list that isn't quite what I was looking for, but it still interesting:
