This is where you'll find information about the availability of food services, libraries, the PAC, parking, printing, deliveries and more. Listed in alphabetical order, updates will be made as information becomes available.

The latest update: Purchaing Services, exam booklets, opscan sheets and all other stationery or offices supplies are available from the University's contracted supplier, Grand & Toy, who delivers to campus. Please order offices supplies from them as normal.


Aboriginal Students' Centre: Open with possible service delays.

Admissions Office: Open with possible service delays. Will respond to telephone enquiries at 966-6718.

Bookstore and On Campus Retail Outlets: Limited services. Students requiring texts and those who have inquiries about text orders or academic reference materials are encouraged to contact the Main Bookstore from Monday to Friday from 8:30am-Noon and 1:00pm-5:00pm at 966-4470.

Campus Recreation: Modified schedule with no referees. Visit http://kinesiology.usask.ca/campus-recreation/ Cancelled: hockey, inner tube sports, kayaking, triathlon, figure skating.

Campus Safety: Operating. Lost and Found not available. Report a crime or suspicious activity to 966-5555. In case of emergency call 9-911.

Card Office: Will be open regular hours: 1:30 – 4:15 Monday to Friday..

Centre for Continuing and Distance Education: Open with possible service delays.

College Building Art Galleries : Closed.

College of Kinesiology Community Programs: Visit http://kinesiology.usask.ca/community-programs/

Deliveries to Campus: may be delayed. Contact Purchasing Services at 966-6704 if you are expecting any urgent shipments or orders of chemicals, biologicals, dangerous/hazardous goods, and/or dry ice/perishable shipments. Arrangements will be made for the delivery or safe storage of these items.

Dental Services: The Student Dental Clinic at the College of Dentistry will be closed during the labour disruption. If you are currently a patient, please contact your student directly for more information. If you have a dental emergency, please contact hospital dental at 956-8515.

Diefenbaker Canada Centre: Closed.

Disability Services for Students: open with possible service delays. Exam accommodations processes are operating as usual and will continue during finals. Students' responsibilities remain unchanged.

Educational Media Access and Production (EMAP): Permanent classroom media installations will continue to function. Distance classes will continue as usual. Media cart delivery will be suspended. Video conferences will be supported only in urgent cases.

If assistance is required for other requirements including, lab consumables and chemicals, general stationery supplies, equipment or other supplies, please contact Purchasing Services' general number at 6704 or e-mail purchasing.services@usask.ca

Facilities Management Division (FMD): For facility operations contact the Work Control Centre @ 966-4496 or e-mail workcontrol.centre@usask.ca. Hours of operation: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and weekends 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. After hours: contact Security Services 966-5555.

Faculty Club: Will be open for business as usual. For business hours, visit http://www.usask.ca/facclub/

Fit Centre in the PAC: Limited services. Hours of operation Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 9am and 11am – 7 pm, Saturday 11am – 7 pm. (programs limited ONLY if it requires the pool or rink). Closed on Sunday and Holidays.

Food Services: Students enrolled in the residence dining program will be served meals at the regular times in Marquis Hall Dining room. Meal Card declining balance usage at other food service outlets is temporarily unavailable. All University food service retail outlets are closed. The Food Services office is closed.

Global Commons/International Student Office: Open with possible service delays.

Gordon Snelgrove Gallery: Hours reduced to Monday - Friday 10:00am – 4:30pm.

Hospitality Services: All catering orders and banquet events are cancelled. Hospitality Services Office closed.

Information Technology Services (ITS): Normal operations will be maintained for most services. Computer and printer repair services will be unavailable. ITS has identified alternative mechanisms for providing these services; please contact the Campus Computer Store for assistance at comp.store@usask.ca or 966-8375.

Kenderdine Art Gallery : Closed.

Library: Reduced hours and service levels. Visit https://library.usask.ca/. The Help Desk in the Main Library Learning Commons will follow the Library's reduced hours of operation. Service delays will be experienced in some other areas due to reduced staffing levels.

Mail Services: Incoming mail will be delivered on a daily basis to colleges and units. If you have inter-campus mail please leave it at the current point of drop off. This is generally the Dean’s Office in Colleges and administrative areas for other units. People with outgoing mail should affix postage and take it to a mail box off campus.

Museum of Antiquities: Maintaining normal hours of operation. Monday - Friday 9am - 4:30pm

On Campus News (OCN): will continue to publish during the labour disruption, although distribution on campus will be somewhat limited. The remaining publication dates for fall are Nov. 16 (deadline: Nov. 8) and Nov. 20 (deadline: Nov. 20). Send information or enquiries to ocn@usask.ca or call 966-6610.

Parking: All visitor and reserve parking lots remain operational from Monday through Friday. Parking tickets are being issued on campus and can be paid via cash (exact change) or cheque at the Parking Office. Vehicles parking illegally in non-designated areas, tow-away zones, or disabled stalls will be removed and owners will be subject to towing and compound fees.

Post Office: Effective November 7, the Post Office in Place Riel will be open Monday to Friday
1:30pm-4:00pm for parcel pick-up. This location is not open for retail business such as stamps, money orders, etc. Mail will also be available in post office boxes in Place Riel. For a list of Post Office locations that process Student Loan documents see the Place Riel Post Office Update

Printing Services Document Solutions: Effective Thursday, November 15, 2007, Printing Services Document Solutions will be open daily from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. Printing and copying services will be available for academic priorities such as courseware and exam production. Printing Services Document Solutions has identified alternative mechanisms for providing other services.

The Office Copier Fleet, consisting of 250 machines, is available for copying needs. Xerox toner cartridges are available at the Printing Services Document Solutions General Purpose Building location, 124 Veterinary Road.

Research Ethics Office: Will now accept all Minimal Risk Applications electronically.
Biomedical Applications and Behavioural Applications can be emailed to ethics.office@usask.ca. Until further notice Above Minimal Risk Applications must be hand delivered to our office at 302 Kirk Hall. Any questions about other submissions 966-1854.

Student Central: Open with possible service delays.

Student Counseling Centre: Students should go to Student Counseling Services if they have a scheduled appointment, wish to make an appointment or if they are experiencing an emergency. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:30. For after hours emergency service students should go to the emergency room at RUH or call Mobile Crisis at 933-6200.

Student Employment and Career Centre: Open with possible service delays.

Student Health Centre: open for walk-in service. Expect possible service delays. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4:30.

Student Residences: Students staying in residences are asked to contact their Resident Assistants for any service needs. If there is an emergency please dial 911. For rent payments visit https://rezweb.usask.ca/portal .

Transit: City Transit buses will not cross picket lines and therefore bus passenger drop off and pickup locations will be moved to College Drive. Access Transit services will continue to provide on campus service as required.

University Learning Centre: All workshops for students and faculty will continue subject to reduced Library Hours.

Writing and Math Help Services: Writing and Math/Stats Help for students is back to the regular term schedule. If changes or cancellations to hours arise, an announcement will be posted on the ulc website www.usask.ca/ulc

- Evenings: Monday-Wednesday 4:00-7:00

Math & Stats Help:
- Monday: 12noon-4pm; 7-9pm
- Tuesday: 11am-4pm; 7-9pm
- Wednesday: 11am-5pm; 7-9pm
- Thursday: 11am-4pm
- Friday: 1-3pm
- Sunday: 1-4pm


Veterinary Clinics: Large and small animal veterinary clinics are closed. Elective surgeries and vaccination clinics have been cancelled. The College advises animal owners to contact veterinary clinics in their local communities for clinical or emergency veterinary services. Livestock owners in the Saskatoon area can call 306-966-7178 to contact a WCVM field service veterinarian as the Field Service Clinic is not affected by the strike.

As well, all services continue to be offered at Prairie Diagnostic Services - the provincial veterinary diagnostics laboratory that's based at the veterinary college.
