Student Members on Undergraduate Forum

The University is seeking four additional students to serve as members of the Undergraduate Forum, a body comprised of students, College Assistant/Associate Deans, and leaders of major administrative units on campus that provide programs and services to students.

The purpose of the Undergraduate Forum is to:
"provide a venue in which the University administration, governing bodies, and representatives of the University’s key stakeholder groups hear and consider institution-wide issues that affect the nature and quality of the undergraduate experience at the University of Saskatchewan. The Undergraduate Forum will provide leadership on behalf of the University community regarding best practices in undergraduate education, student retention and success, and other aspects of the undergraduate experience on our campus. It will also develop recommendations for policy development and the coordinated application of existing policies across the University."

Student representatives will be expected to attend monthly meetings of the Forum (normally two hours/month), participate in discussions regarding issues of interest and concern to undergraduate students on our campus, and potentially volunteer from time to time to work with other members of the Forum to collect additional information, survey and provide student opinions on a variety of topics, and make recommendations as to how the student experience on our campus can be improved.

Application forms are available here and must be returned to the USSU office by 4:30pm November 12, 2008
