Crane Foundation Drilling to Begin

Drilling work to prepare a foundation for the construction crane is schedule to being this week (May 11-15). The digging activity will be mainly confined to the cordoned area just north of the Place Riel Student Centre.

Noise levels will be higher for surrounding buildings, including the Murray Building and Marquis Hall. In anticipation of construction noise, sound insulation barriers have been installed in the east facing windows of the Murray Building, and the west facing windows of Marquis Hall.

The drilling is expected to finish sometime this week.
