Changes To Transit Schedule Due To Winter Road Conditions

Members of the Campus Community,

The City of Saskatoon has advised that there will be limited bus service on Sunday, Jan. 24 and Monday, Jan. 25 due to winter road conditions caused by the recent heavy snowfall. Please visit the City's website for the most recent updates to transit availability: http://www.saskatoon.ca/DEPARTMENTS/UTILITY%20SERVICES/SASKATOON%20TRANSIT/Pages/default.aspx or call 975-3100.

In addition, please be advised that Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for the evening of Jan. 24 in Saskatoon, which may compound transit issues. Visit http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/city/pages/sk-40_metric_e.html for updates on changing weather conditions.

Campus roadways are currently being cleared and the University of Saskatchewan remains open. While classes are expected to continue as usual on Monday, Jan. 25, disruptions to the transit schedule and winter road conditions may result in disruptions to some scheduled classes. Faculty are asked to post any changes to their class schedules on PAWS http://paws.usask.ca/, as per regular procedures, and students are encouraged to regularly check PAWS for these updates. U of S instructors and students in off-campus sites are encouraged to do the same and to check road and transit conditions with local authorities.

Employees unable to attend work should contact their supervisors as per regular procedures.

Further updates, as required, will be provided to the campus community by email and posted in PAWS.

Best Regards,

David Hannah
Lead, Crisis Management Team and
Associate Vice-President, Student and Enrollment Services
