FREE Bento Box and Sushi Giveaway

Umi Sushi Express Grand Opening - Thursday, October 28th

To celebrate their grand opening in Lower Place Riel, Umi Sushi Express will be giving away a free bento box at the bento bar to the first 150 people from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

They will also be handing out a free sushi pack from 12 p.m. -1:30 p.m. (one sushi pack per person)

Teaching Excellence Awards

Every year the USSU Teaching Excellence Awards aim to recognize professors who demonstrate teaching excellence at the University of Saskatchewan. An excellent teacher not only helps his or her students to discover knowledge, but gives those students the tools they need to turn that knowledge into wisdom.

Nomination forms are available online from the USSU website or visit us in the tunnel Oct 26-28. Nominations for term 1 close Friday November 5 2010. Click here if you have a teacher you wish to nominate and would like to download the TEA Nomination form.

TEMPORARY CHANGE for Wednesday, October 27

Due to construction the following routes will be moved to the Main Doors of Place Riel:

Route 70 Silverspring
Route 80 Kenderdine


Please watch for Temporary Bus Stops in front of Place Riel. Bus routes will return to their regular stops October 28th.

Yes Makes Sex Sex - Sexual Assault Awareness Week

The USSU Women's Centre presents "Yes Makes Sex Sex" A Week of Sexual Assault Awareness, October 25th-29th. This week long event aims to create awareness about sexual assault and promote healthy relationships.

Monday to Wednesday October 25th - 27th
11a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Displays will be set up with information, games and give aways

Wednesday October 27th
2:30 p.m. in the USSU Women's Centre
Visit us in Room 43 located in Lower Sask Hall for a guest speaker from the Sexual Assault and Information Centre.

Thursday October 28th
2:30 p.m. in the USSU Women's Centre
The Peer Health Educator's Sexual Health Group will be speaking about Healthy Relationships.

Friday October 29th
2:30 p.m. in the USSU Women's Centre
Visit us in Room 43 located in Lower Sask Hall for a guest speaker from the Rape Aggression Defense System Program on Campus.

This year the USSU is working to educate students about academic integrity through a fun spin and win game in the arts tunnel everyday at noon hour October 4-8. There will be prizes, pizza and fun aplenty as students learn about the importance of academic integrity.
