The USSU Pride Centre presents Carnival of Sex - Drag Show and Community Fair at Louis' March 12th. Community Fair begins at 8:00pm, Drag show at 9:00pm.Tickets available at the USSU Pride Centre or the USSU Information Centre $7 at the door $5 in advance. Licensed 19+ show.

International Women's Day is a major day of global celebration of women. The theme of this year's event is 'Strong Women-Strong World', which we are interpreting as physical, mental and spiritual strength. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements.

Thinking about buses? The University of Saskatchewan Students' Union will be hosting an open forum on transit February 14 at 2:00pm in the Thorvaldson Building, Room 105. Representatives of Saskatoon Transit and the USSU will be available to listen to student concerns, answer questions, and take suggestions.

The USSU Women's Centre will be hosting a Body Image Discussion Group on the second Wednesday of every month at 12:00pm - 1:00pm. The next discussion group will be held on February 9th at the USSU Women's Centre in Room 40 Lower Sask Hall. Topics for discussion vary but will include the ban airbrushing campaign, societal constructs that formulate opinions of the "ideal body", and how body image standards have evolved over time. Discussion topics will be organized prior to the group gathering but the discussion is flexible and any relevant discussion topics are welcome.
Have a particularly enthusiastic/fantastic/dance-tastic all-around amazing professor? We here at the USSU love to recognize people like this who make our university experience great. Nominations for the USSU Teaching Excellence Awards are open from January 24- February 4 and nomination forms can be found online or in the USSU main office.
