• Kathleen is an immature Bald Eagle (doesn't have her white cap yet) that was found and admitted to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine on November 8, 2009. She presented with an open fracture of her right humerus and was found on the side of the road near Spiritwood, SK.

• Radiographs confirmed that she had a fracture of the right humerus - one of the bones in her wing.

PREVIOUS CASE: CARL

• Carl is an adult peregrine falcon (presumably male) that was found 15 minutes south of Dorintosh, Sask. and admitted to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine on September 28, 2006. He presented in thin body condition with a small scab on the right wing and a larger infected wound on the left wing.

• Radiographs revealed that he had a fracture of the left proximal radius — one of the bones in his wing. Carl also had a wound on the top of his head but no skull fractures were noted on his X-rays.
