Technical Difficulties with Web Conferencing
Due to some unfortunate technical difficulties, a large number of currently running sessions and previously recorded sessions are unavailable at this time. Web Conferencing support staff are working at restoring these sessions and hope to have them returned to service by Wednesday, November 9th. We are not currently booking sessions until these issues have been resolved.

Elluminate Performance Problems
In the last few days we've noticed that on-campus computers are getting very poor performance with Elluminate. We are currently investigating this and hope to have a solution soon. We'll keep you informed as things develop.

Elluminate and Sophos Anti-Virus on Mac OS X
The Sophos Anti-virus software can cause long delays in launching Elluminate on Macintoshes running OS X, due to the Sophos' "On-Access" scanning feature. This feature scans files and applications for virii as you open them, but it conflicts with Elluminate during Elluminate's startup process. If you have Sophos Anti-Virus installed on your Mac OS X computer, you will need to disable the "On-Access" scanning feature of Sophos before Elluminate will function well. Teaching Courses while at a Conference
An instructor contacted me who is going away to a conference, but still wants to teach his lectures to his class of 150 students. All other alternatives for teaching the course (pre-recording, video conferencing, etc.) were too expensive. He was ready to cancel the lectures, but then he heard about our new Web Conferencing system.

Why Tutorials ask you to Install Elluminate Again
You may notice that Elluminate starts the installation procedure again when you view one of the tutorials. This is normal and will only happen once. Allow the installation to complete and you will see the tutorial.
